House music gems & forgotten deep cuts from the 90's & 00's
Get ready for another round of funky house music of a retro persuasion. This week the legendary Green Velvet kicks things off, we drop into some disco goodness and there are a few big vocal anthem moments thrown in for good measure.
Hey there. Welcome along to another 60 minutes of old skool funky house vibes courtesy of Retro House Mixtape. As aired on www.beach-radio.co.uk on Friday 22nd March.
I felt like going for a VERY funky house mix this week so there are a lot of vocal licks and disco kicks going on in this episode
Being a big fan of The Prodigy I figured there's only one way to start the show this week. I had to play a tune for Keith Flint who sadly passed away. I decided to go for something from The Prodigy that was a bit less well known but very Keith-centric. Hope you like it.
Onto this week's episode and it's a retro house bonanza! It's starts off kinda clubby and then drops into some disco-fuelled house. Then it drops into some mid-90's nuggets and then goes a little deep before going for a big finish. It's a pretty tasty set!
This episode is a who's who of previously featured Retro House Mixtape artists and DJ's. Grant Nelson, Joey Negro, Roger Sanchez, Full Intention, Boris Dlugosch... they all make yet another appearance on the show. Check it out!
