For the first episode of the New Year I’ve dug out something from the archive. This is a recording of a live DJ set I performed at Aruba in Bournemouth back in January 2010. This set actually happened on the 2nd, so understandably the punters were somewhat partied out from all the New Year revellry when I turned up. It was at that moment that I decided I would play a warm-up set that dabbled with chilled house and gradually built towards a funky conclusion. By complete coincidence I also happened to record it. And now here we are all these years later and I figured it would work quite nicely as an episode of Retro House Mixtape. Something nice and easy to settle you into the first weekend of the New Year.
