]]> Sad news last week as the story broke regarding the passing of vocalist Kim English. Being the voice behind some of my all-time favourite vocal house tracks I felt it necessary to open this week’s episode with a respectful nod. This is actually a re-work of the Joe T. Vanelli remixes of Nitelife where I’ve combined elements from both his ‘Dubby’ and ‘Light’ remixes of the track.

Beyond that I’ve dug out some nice old school tracks this week. Don’t forget to check below the track listing for details on subscribing to Retro House Mixtape on Mixcloud Select.

Track listing:

  1. Kim English – Nitelife (Munkeycop’s ‘JT Vanelli’ Dubby Light Re-work)
  2. Wax Worx – Sunshine Peeps Yo!
  3. Soul Avengerz– Twisted Melody
  4. Poker Pets feat. Nate James – Loving You (Original Mix)
  5. Mr Jack – Wiggly World (Viro’s Freestyle)
  6. 4Tune500 – Dancing In The Dark (Accapella)
  7. Jestofunk feat Jocelyn Brown – Special Love (Jazz–N–Groove Club Mix)
  8. George Morel feat. Heather Wildman – Let’s Groove (Joey Musaphia Club Mix)
  9. Lisa Moorish – Mr Friday Night (Deep Dish State Of The Union)
  10. Lithium and Sonya Madan – Ride A Rocket (Lithium 12inch Vocal Mix)
  11. Quentin Harris feat. Monique Bingham – Poor People [Pastaboys Main Mix]
  12. Massive Attack – Protection (Illicit Mix)
