Retro House Mixtape – Episode 28

Paul @ Retro House Mixtape — Fri, 18 Jan 2019 08:01:02 +0000

Once again it’s another episode of Retro House Mixtape all poised and ready to drop those weekend vibes into your earholes. This week it starts on a vocal-led U.S. Garage vibe before shifting up a gear into some stomping disco bangers. Over the last few weeks I’ve made some excellent re-discoveries of some long forgotten tracks and a couple of them feature here. There is the disco-breakbeat stylings of DJ Tonka who is remixing ‘Give It Up’ by K-Klass. Plus the house music legends Pete Heller and Terry Farley appear in their ‘Roach Motel’ guise to drop ‘Wild Luv’, a UK take on the New York house style from the early 90’s.

Tracklisting:

Loveland – Let The Music Lift You Up (Reese Inner City Club Mix)
Crystal Waters – Relax (Jazz N’ Groove Club Mix)
Kim English – I Know A Place (E-Smoove Mix)
M-Gee feat Mica Paris – Bodyswerve (Deeptrak Edit)
Live Element – Be Free (Original Vocal)
Roach Motel – Wild Luv
Fused – Saving Mary (Bob Sinclar Vocal Mix)
Martha Wash – Carry On (Full Intention Club Mix)
Unknown – I Got It
Helicopter – On Ya Way (JM’s Dilemma Dub)
K-Klass – Live It Up (DJ Tonka Remix)
Todd Terry – Ready For A New Day (Rhythm Masters Thumpin’ Mix)
Soulsearcher – Can’t Get Enough (Robbie’s Filtered Monster Anthem)
Turbo Funk – Strong
Loleatta Holloway – Crash Goes Love (Acapella)
