“That London Sound”, in other words, that late 90’s UK-based four-to-the-floor garage vibe.

Listen on Mixcloud

For this episode I felt like going with a theme, so I dipped into a folder of tunes simply called “That London Sound”. It’s a collection of tracks that takes me back to the late 90’s. Around ’97 when the likes of Jeremy Sylvester (under various guises), RIP and Nu-Birth (again, under various guises) were pumping out garage bangers with synth-based chords, soulful vocals and deep, deep baselines. If you liked the previous ‘Speed Garage’ episodes of the show, you’ll probably like this one too!

Tracklisting:

1. Da Vibe Project – Jus’ a Feelin’
2. RIP Productions – Red Hot and Sexy
3. G.O.D. – Inside Your Mind (Original Mix)
4. Da Mooch feat Ellis Miah – Send Me Some Love (Marc & Mitch’s Send Me Some Dub)
5. Johan S. Presents Jazzheads – (Falling Like ) Dominoes (Banana Republic’s Club Vocal)
6. Amira – My Desire (Club Asylum Classic Vocal Mix)
7. Danny J Lewis – Spend the Night (H Man Dub)
8. Miles Fontaine – Keep Giving
9. GOD Four – A2
10. Inland Knights – Trapped
11. Dean Boylan – Bring It Back To Love (Dem 2’s Rubba Soul Dub)
12. Freak Da Funk – Where Brooklyn At
13. Nu‐Birth – Anytime (Rhythm Masters mix)
